Hi! My name is Hannah. I'm 19 and going to be a sophomore at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Right now, my major is news-editorial journalism. I love psychology, so I'm not sure what I'll end up doing. I'm a member of the Marching Illini and the Sigma Delta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, which is a women's music fraternity. Oh, and I like road trips, flying kites, and trying new things. I recently became a Star Trek fan.

I'm looking forward to this class. I enjoy learning about American history, and our government is an integral part of that. Unfortunately, I don't know as much about it as I should to be an informed citizen. Last fall, my roommate and I lived for the election. We watched MSNBC all the time, and tried to learn all we could about the candidates. In January, we had the opportunity to go to Washington for President Obama's inauguration. It was one of the most exciting experiences of my life. I hope to learn much more in the next four weeks.
