I know a fair amount about McLean County's history, though not much about politics. What I know is mostly from living here, hearing stories, and of course visiting places like the museum and the David Davis Mansion. We truly have a rich history, which some people do not realize. Once, my friends and I went to a lecture on Irish-Americans in McLean County for APUSH class. It was full of amazing stories and hilarious anecdotes. I wish everyone could have such an enlightening experience. All history matters, and the history of our county is so accessible. Why not embrace it?
